Shenzhen to invest 60 billion to build a national-level new energy automotive industry base

On November 8, the reporter learned from the 25th World Electric Vehicle Conference held in Shenzhen (hereinafter referred to as the Electric Vehicle Conference) that Shenzhen will establish a national-level new energy automobile industrial base. The National Development and Reform Commission has made relevant approvals for this.

The National Development and Reform Commission stated in the approval that at present, the new energy automobile industrial base has not yet had a specific evaluation standard. It is hoped that Shenzhen can formulate corresponding standards and proposes adopting a dual-control strategy of setting standards and industrial base construction.

On November 6th, at the meeting of the main forum of the electric car assembly, Wan Gang, Minister of Science and Technology of the People's Republic of China stated in a speech that the central government will give Shenzhen more opportunities to try ahead in the new energy field.

During the conference, relevant leaders of Shenzhen Municipality said in an interview with the media that the national-level new energy automobile industrial base project has been listed in the “Twelfth Five-Year Plan” in Shenzhen and will be promoted as a key development goal of Shenzhen’s “Twelfth Five-Year Plan”. .

According to the leader, the base covers an area of ​​nearly 15 square kilometers. After the project is completed and put into operation, it will achieve an annual production capacity of 300,000 electric vehicles, and key components such as batteries, electronic controls, and motors will have a capacity of more than 300,000 vehicles. The total output value will reach 80 billion yuan. The industrial effect of new energy vehicles driven by this will be expected to exceed 200 billion yuan.

Shenzhen New Energy Vehicle started in 2004. After nearly 6 years of exploration and development, a relatively complete new energy automobile industrial chain has been formed. Since 2009, Shenzhen has successively been approved by the National Development and Reform Commission, the Ministry of Finance, the Ministry of Science and Technology and the ministries and commissions of the Ministry of Industry and the Ministry of Industry to promote the first batch of demonstration and promotion cities for energy-saving and new energy vehicles, as well as the country’s first private pilot cities to purchase new energy vehicles.
