The layman watched the excitement and the insider looked at the doorway. I am a monk, not an expert, but because I have worked in the automotive industry for several decades, I have done some research on so-called Internet vehicles. If I remember correctly, probably in the summer of 2007, a Chinese reporter asked me: “General Manager Li, the smart phone changed the traditional telephone and initiated a revolution in the field of communications. What industry do you think the next revolution is? "I could not answer it at first. I really do not know which industry it is." She said: "Some people say that the next revolution will happen in the automotive industry."

I didn't think about it and I didn't think so. Of course, this reporter did not understand how this revolution will originate and how it will develop. Today, basically, there has been a direction, such as electric, intelligent, lightweight, especially unmanned and people's so-called Internet car, these directions have been widely recognized in the automotive industry. However, there is no standard answer on how to use electric power, degree of electricization and level, how to reduce weight, how light and how light the level and level of intelligence are, and how intelligent and level of intelligence are. Different companies in the industry are seeking different solutions. Everyone is investing heavily in R&D. In particular, the investment in R&D of some basic technologies is huge.

The research and development of some technologies is not only a matter of money. Money is of course important, but relying solely on money does not necessarily achieve its goal. For example, the degree of motorization and level issues, electric vehicle technology is not a new technology, has been there for more than a hundred years. Today, although some technologies have achieved breakthroughs, there are still many technical problems that remain to be solved. Many people say that their technology is the world's best and they all say that their business model is the most competitive. But no matter what, there are still many difficulties and problems in the electrification of the automobile. While waiting for us to overcome and solve, it is not necessarily a success to become "the world's first."

I think that this industrial revolution has only just begun today and there is still a long way to go from real success. Another example is the question of weight reduction. On the surface, there is no direct link between electrification and light weight, but in fact they are very closely related. From the perspective of commercial nature and product competition, there can be no electricization without being lightweight, and the two are inextricably linked. Because the energy density of the battery is too low, today's electric technology can not help solve the problem of lightweight vehicle, both are contradictory body. How to resolve this contradiction, global automotive peers are making various attempts, not only in terms of cost, but also in terms of user experience. Although there are already some scientific inventions, there are already some innovations that have already been made. Some solutions have often brought good news of some amazing major technological breakthroughs all over the world, but they still need to be tested in practice. The increase in proven oil reserves and the decline in global oil prices are not good news for the development of electric vehicles, and put forward higher requirements for the cost, economy, and user experience of electric vehicles. The Internet is still innately related to motorization and light weight. The development process of the automotive industry is the process of integration of industry and information technology. Only practical work, hard work, nailing the nails, solving one problem after another, one by one, overcome difficulties, continuously consolidate the technical foundation, and continuously accumulate test data. Although Geely has established the “Blue Geely Action” plan, it now seems necessary to re-examine and roll amendments. In theory, the real Internet car must be a highly electric car. If it is not electrified, it will be difficult to achieve the Internet and it will not be highly intelligent. The reason is very simple. Electricization is conducive to automatic supply of energy, start-stop vehicle safety, and long-term standby networked online services. However, from the shore to the other shore, it cannot simply leapfrog development, nor can it leapfrog development, and must develop according to law.

There are many people who have ideas. It is very difficult to turn ideas into reality. Volvo began researching unmanned cars, electric cars and light weight technology more than a decade ago. Last year, the new generation of Volvo XC90 was put on the market at the same time in the world. Its popularity was completely beyond people's imagination, especially in the United States, Germany, Japan and other markets is in short supply, one car is hard to find, and took more than one hundred in the world within one year. A big prize, why is such a Volvo XC90 so popular? The reasons are as follows:

First, the world's first true Internet concept car, and has the ability to continue iterative upgrades;
