1 Introduction
The Salceshmai copper - molybdenum plant was developed by the Iranian National Copper Industry Corporation and introduced the technology of Anaconda. It is a large copper-molybdenum base mined in the 1980s. Salceshmai is located in the middle of the Zagros Mountains in central Iran. The scale of the plant to be put into operation in 1979 is 40 tons of daily ore containing 54% of molybdenum concentrate, l0t of copper-containing 34% copper concentrate, 1480t, and the supporting smelter with an annual output of 171kt of refined copper.
2. Deposits, ores and mining
Salcesh is a porphyry copper-molybdenum deposit. Located in the middle of the Zagros Mountains. It is northwest-southeast-south. The ore body is elliptical, 2300m long and 1200m wide. The ore body is present in the porphyry and the surrounding altered andesite . The eroded and oxidized cover rock of the ore body is mainly carbonate rock with an average thickness of 26m. The average thickness of the mineral cap on the flat surface sulphide ore is 37m. The Salceshma deposit is one of the world's richest porphyry copper-molybdenum deposits, ranking third in the world's four major copper mines. The proven ore reserves are at least 427 Mt, and the average ore grade is 1.13% Cu and 0.03% Mo. Supplementary exploration ore reserves increased to 800Mt, copper metal reserves l0Mt.
The epiphytic copper mineral is a disseminated chalcopyrite, and there is copper blue near the bottom of the secondary enriched ore layer. Deep Sulfide minerals pyrite, chalcopyrite and molybdenite. Most of the molybdenum ore is an infiltrated inclusion, usually associated with a fine vein containing chalcopyrite, which is very thin and often flakes. A semi-continuous ring of high grade molybdenum ore is present inside the high copper strip. Large open pit mining method for mines.
3. Mineral processing technology
(1) The crushing operation uses a three-stage, closed-circuit crushing process to crush the ore to 80%-13mm.
(2) Copper-molybdenum mixed flotation (see Figure 1) uses a section of grinding, grading, and overflow fineness of 70%-200 mesh. The flotation is re-grinded by a rough selection, coarse concentrate (and fine concentrate). , a second selection, a simple process of fine sweeping. The mixed concentrate is concentrated and sent to the molybdenum flotation plant.

The mixed flotation is 8 series, and each series of grinding uses 1 ¢5×8.2m large overflow ball machine, and the ore supply is 225t/h·. The motor is 3375kW/set. Each billiard mill and 10 ¢510mm cyclone units form a closed circuit. The overflow product has a fineness of 70%-200 mesh. Each series has a processing capacity of 5,500 t/d. The re-grinding machine is four ¢3×5.8m ball mills , each of which is closed with 6 ¢380mm cyclones.
The copper-molybdenum separation was carried out in the molybdenum workshop. The copper-molybdenum mixed concentrate was sent to the storage tank (concentrator) after two selections, and the secondary concentrates were concentrated in 7h/d. See Figure 2.

In the concentrated selection section, after the refinement of the concentrates selected by Jing 3 and Jing 4, and then re-grinding, and then three times of fine selection of 5~7, flotation molybdenum concentrate and copper concentrate are obtained.
The flotation concentrate contains 54% molybdenum. When the copper exceeds the standard, it must be leached to remove copper and obtain qualified molybdenum concentrate.
4. Flotation pharmacy system (g/t)
Lime, isopropyl xanthate, R407, methyl isobutyl carbinol, ether alcohols 190, Z-200 19, 190 kerosene.
5, production indicators
The ore grade is 1.13% Cu, 0.03% Mo, the treatment volume is 40 kt/d; the molybdenum concentrate grade is 54% Mo, the yield is l0t/d; the copper concentrate grade is 34% Cu, and the yield is 1480 t/d.
