How Engine Exhaust Brake Works

The engine brake is the exhaust brake. For heavy vehicles, the brakes mainly have a service brake; parking, parking brake, and exhaust brake. The service brake is achieved through a dual-chamber brake master valve. The parking and parking brake is achieved through the manual valve, while the exhaust brake is achieved through the exhaust brake butterfly valve. The exhaust brake butterfly valve is installed behind the engine exhaust hose. When the button valve is operated, the air pressure is used to brake the butterfly valve cylinder and the air piston in the cylinder is actuated, thereby driving the push rod to rotate the butterfly valve. At 90 degrees, when the exhaust hose is closed, the engine exhaust is blocked, and when the engine exhaust is blocked, the piston in the engine cylinder can't travel normally. It must be carved into this resistance, and thus in this air resistance, the engine piston Because of the traction, the speed is slowed down.
It's a bit of a point that engine braking doesn't hurt the engine! In the case of a large slope, the use of exhaust brakes is good for service braking, reducing the number of brakes and improving the reliability of braking.
