China's auto industry needs to increase energy saving and consumption reduction

Recently, the Beijing Automobile Industry Association conducted a follow-up survey on the energy saving and water saving of some member companies. It was found that out of the 30 companies that provided 2006 data, only the average value of the two indicators of the vehicle manufacturer was met. Only the average value of the water consumption index of the refit automobile manufacturing enterprises reached the standard, and the average value of the two indicators of the component manufacturing companies failed to reach the standard. There are a total of 12 companies that have met the two indicators, accounting for 40% of the total number of statistical companies. There are 15 companies that have failed to meet the targets, accounting for 50% of all statistical enterprises. Of the 50 companies that provided data for 2007, only 16 have met the two indicators, accounting for 32% of all statistical enterprises. There are 17 companies that have failed to meet the targets, accounting for 34% of all statistical enterprises. The average energy consumption of some non-compliance parts and special-purpose auto companies is higher than the national guideline index.

The national "Eleventh Five-Year Plan" proposes that by the end of the "Eleventh Five-Year Plan", the national unit GDP energy consumption will be reduced by 20% and the total discharge of major pollutants will be reduced by 10%. Various provinces and cities have also broken down the corresponding indicators. The index proposed by Beijing is to the end of the “Eleventh Five-Year Plan”, and the energy consumption and water consumption indicators will be reduced by 20% compared with the end of the “Tenth Five-year Plan”. Among them, the energy consumption and water consumption of the industrial system will decrease. 30%. From the "Beijing Industrial Energy Consumption and Water Consumption Guidance Index," we can see that the Beijing Municipal Government has made a great determination to achieve energy conservation and consumption reduction goals, and the Beijing automobile manufacturing industry has also made great efforts, but the progress of this work is Not satisfactory.

It is understood that the progress of energy-saving and water-saving work of auto companies in other regions of the country has many similarities with the Beijing auto industry. The rapid progress of compliance of the powerful vehicle manufacturing enterprises, and the difficulties faced by the refitted vehicles and parts and components enterprises with relatively weaker strength are greater.

The person in charge of the Beijing Automotive Industry Association believes that due to the limited number of samples, the statistical results may not accurately reflect the entire picture. However, it can be seen from the middle that the energy conservation and consumption reduction of the automobile industry must be strengthened. The association tracked energy conservation and consumption reduction of key components such as Beidai and Beiyou, and found that although some companies have not yet fully met the standards, the situation in 2007 has improved significantly compared to 2006. This shows that as long as we work hard, the level of energy saving and consumption reduction will increase.

According to authoritative statistics, the per capita water resources in China account for only a quarter of the world average, and by 2030 it will become a country with severe water shortages in the world. The per capita possession of petroleum and natural gas in China is only 11% and 4.5% of the world average. The per capita occupancy of 45 mineral resources is less than half of the world average. Transforming the mode of economic development is the only way for China to achieve scientific development.
