Yuchai Ships the third 5RT-flex50DF dual fuel engine successfully tested

It is reported that the RT-flex50DF main engine is a new generation of low-pressure common rail dual-fuel engine. The main engine can operate stably in gas mode throughout the load range, and the fuel and gas modes can be directly and smoothly switched. In the gas mode based on the Alto cycle, this type The host can meet the International Maritime Organization (IMO) Tier III emission standards without any post-processing measures. The machine adopts a low-pressure gas supply system of no more than 16bar, which is conducive to the safe and stable operation of the ship while meeting emission regulations. The application of the new two-stroke low-pressure dual-fuel engine allows LNG fuel to be used in almost all types of ships. The 5RT-flex50DF engine is the first in a series of two-stroke low-pressure dual-fuel engines.
