Proper use and maintenance of the wire rope is not only related to the safety of the lifting equipment, but also extends the service life of the wire rope. Therefore, when using and maintaining the wire rope, it must comply with the provisions of the Regulations.

1. Use and keep the lifting wire rope

The new rope shall be inspected and accepted by the inspection unit, and shall be properly kept after being qualified to prevent damage and rust.

The original data for each coil of wire must be kept intact.

If it has been stored for more than one year, it must be inspected once more before it is hanged.

2. Regulation of the number of layers of wire rope wound on the drum and the fixing of the rope head

1 The number of layers of steel wire wrapped around the rollers of various lifting devices must not exceed the following requirements:

1 floor for lifting personnel or lifting personnel and lifting materials in the vertical shaft; 2 layers for lifting materials.

Lifting personnel or lifting personnel and lifting materials in the inclined shaft, 2 floors; lifting materials, 3 layers.

Lifting personnel and materials during the construction of the well, 2 floors.

Existing winches for the production of mines, if a transitional rope wedge is installed on the drum, the strength of the drum meets the requirements and the height of the edge of the drum meets the requirements of Article 2 below, and the number of layers specified in this clause can be increased by one layer.

Multi-layer winding is permitted for mobile or auxiliary materials designed for lifting materials (including gangue hills and lifting to the overpass) and for lifting materials during the drilling.

2 When winding 2 or more layers of steel wire rope on the drum, the following requirements must be met:

The edge of the drum is raised above the outermost layer of wire rope, at least 2.5 times the diameter of the wire rope.

A pad with a rope groove must be provided on the drum.

The wire rope is transferred from the lower layer to the upper critical section (corresponding to the 1/4 length of the rope loop) and must be checked frequently, and the wire rope should be moved quarter by quarter.

For the existing winch without the rope groove liner, as long as the rope groove is engraved on the drum plate or a layer of steel wire rope is used as the bottom rope, it can be used continuously.

3 When the wire rope head is fixed on the drum, the following requirements shall be met:

There must be a special rope or cable device that is not attached to the drum shaft.

The rope hole shall not have sharp edges, and the bending of the wire rope shall not form an acute angle.

Three rings of rope should be often wrapped around the drum to relieve the tension at the fixed point, and a supplementary rope for periodic inspection must be left.

3. There are provisions for the use of wire rope joints

1 The wire rope with joints can only be used in the flat road transportation equipment and the inclined roadway below 30' for the winch and the inclined lane overhead passenger device.

2 Use wire ropes in inclined shafts, the length of which is not less than 1 000 times the diameter of the wire rope.

4. The life of the wire rope

The service life of the friction wheel hoisting wire rope shall not exceed 2 years, and the service life of the balance wire rope shall not exceed 4 years. If the broken wire, diameter reduction and corrosion degree of the wire rope do not exceed the provisions of the Regulations, it may continue to be used, but shall not exceed 1 year.

5. Maintenance of wire rope

The main lifting device must be equipped with an approved spare wire rope. For the steel wire rope in use, oil should be applied at least once a month according to the conditions of the well and the corrosion. For the hoisting wire rope of the friction wheel type lifting device, only the special steel wire rope oil (grinding grease) can be applied and immersed; however, for the steel wire rope that does not bypass the friction wheel part, anti-corrosion oil must be applied.

The maintenance work on other aspects of the wire rope should not be neglected. For example, after the new rope test, it should be stored in a shelter sheltered from light, rain and dry. The lower part should be padded with square wood so that the outer wire rope is not less than 0.2m from the ground. Get wet. After the storage, it should be inspected once a year before the rainy season. If rust is found, it should be unpacked and inspected and oiled. 6. Inspection and inspection of wire rope

(1) Lifting wire rope inspection

1The lifting wire rope and the tank rope must be inspected once a day. The brake rope (including the buffer rope) and the wellbore suspension wire rope for balancing the wire rope and the fall arrester must be inspected at least once a week. - A detailed inspection of the section that is vulnerable to damage and broken or rusted. The protruding part of the broken wire shall be cut off during inspection, and the result of the inspection shall be recorded in the wire rope inspection record book.

2 The ratio of the broken wire area of ​​the various strands of strands to the total broken area of ​​the wire within one lay length must be replaced when the following values ​​are reached:

The ropes for lifters or lifters and materials are 5%.

The brake rope (including the buffer rope) for the wire rope, balance wire rope and anti-dropper used for lifting materials is 10%.

The tank wire rope is 15%.

The overhead passenger device, the wire rope for the endless rope transport and the wire rope traction belt conveyor designed for transporting materials is 25%.

3 When the diameter reduction calculated based on the nominal diameter of the wire rope reaches the following values, it must be replaced:

The hoisting wire rope or brake wire rope is 10%.

The tank wire rope is 15%.

When a sealing wire rope is used, the outer wire thickness wears up to 50%.

5 When the steel wire rope is subjected to violent pulling force such as card can, sudden stop, etc. during operation, a large braking deceleration will occur, which may cause serious distortion or deformation of the wire rope, increase of broken wire, plastic deformation and local thinning or length of the wire rope. If one of the following conditions is found, the force section must be removed or replaced:

The wire rope is severely distorted or deformed.

Broken wire exceeds the provisions of Article 2 above.

The diameter reduction value exceeds the provisions of Article 3 above.

The length of a section subjected to violent pulling is extended by more than 0.5%.

During the use of the wire rope, the number of broken wires suddenly increases or the elongation suddenly increases and must be replaced immediately.

(2) Inspection of wire rope

1 The inspection before the suspension of the new wire rope and the periodic inspection of the rope in use shall be carried out in accordance with the following provisions:

Inspection before the new rope suspension: Three tests must be carried out for each steel wire, such as breaking, bending and torsion, and the test results are calculated and judged based on the nominal diameter. When the ratio of the broken area of ​​the unqualified steel wire to the total broken area of ​​the steel wire reaches 6%, it shall not be used as a lifting person; when it reaches 10%, it shall not be used as a lifting material.

Regular inspection of ropes: Only two tests of breaking and bending of each steel wire can be made. The test results are still calculated and judged based on the nominal diameter. When the ratio of the broken area of ​​the unqualified steel wire to the total broken area of ​​the steel wire reaches 25%, the steel wire rope must be replaced; the safety factor calculated based on the sum of the broken wire breaking force of the qualified wire is lower than the specified (only less than 7 for the lift personnel).

Wire rope for lifting personnel and materials: less than 7 for lifting personnel; less than 6 for lifting materials. When used for lifting materials and hanging slings less than 5), the rope must be replaced.

2 Inspection of hoisting ropes shall be carried out using equipment and methods that meet the requirements. The inspection period is:

The steel wire rope for lifting materials shall be inspected for the first time at 12 months from the time of suspension, and once every six months thereafter.

Wire ropes for balanced wheel winches, balance wire ropes, and wire ropes for lifting materials with a diameter of 181nl Tl and below (except for shaft lifting ropes) are not subject to this limitation.
