Since the beginning of this year, the import of four-wheel drive SUVs has dropped significantly due to the high international oil prices and the increase in the number of alternative vehicles introduced domestically. From January to May, a total of 13,197 vehicles were imported, a year-on-year decrease of 35%; the import value was 441 million U.S. dollars, a decrease of 16.2%.
