Recently, Shaanxi Drum Group won the bid for the first batch of raw material gas and product gas compressor for coal-based 200,000-ton/year ethylene glycol projects in the international tendering process, and opened the door for the application of domestically produced compressors in the coal chemical industry.
It is reported that the 200,000-ton/year ethylene glycol project is a high-tech project with full independent intellectual property rights developed by the Chinese Academy of Sciences and Shanghai Jinmei Chemical New Technology Co., Ltd. The project uses lignite as raw material to make ethylene glycol, which is the first in the world. Therefore, after the project is successfully put into operation, it will play a positive role in the optimization of China’s energy structure; and the signing of a 200,000-ton/year ethylene glycol project feedstock gas and product gas compressor manufacturing contract marks the production of Shaanxi Drum. The application of centrifugal compressors in the field of coal chemical industry has occupied the commanding heights.
Air-to-air air compressor manufacturing to a new level
The air compressor unit is the key auxiliary equipment of the air separation unit, and the air separation unit is an important auxiliary equipment widely used in oil refining, ethylene, Chemical Fertilizer, coal chemical industry, metallurgy and other industries. At present, the main performance parameters and technical indexes of Shaanxi-Guangdong 40,000-60,000 class air separation plants have reached the international advanced level. In the next 5 to 10 years, with the construction of millions of tons of large-scale ethylene, 10 million-ton large-scale oil refining, large-scale coal-to-olefins and methanol projects, and steel and thermal power projects, the market demand for super large-size air separation plants will getting bigger.
In order to seize the market opportunities, Shaanxi Drum has continuously increased investment in scientific research and development in recent years, and strived to improve the design and manufacturing technology level of air compressor units and achieved remarkable results. At present, it has the ability to design and manufacture compressors of 60,000 class air separation units, and its main performance parameters and technical indicators can reach advanced foreign standards.
Since 2002, Shaanxi Drum has provided more than 50 sets of air compressor units for chemical and metallurgical enterprises in Shandong Hualu Hengsheng and Jiangsu Linggu.
Deepen Research on Centrifugal Compressor System
As the earliest enterprise in the industry for system technology and complete set of technology research and application, Shaanxi Drum has mastered system technology related to centrifugal compressors and sets of technologies for multi-generators through research on process systems and multi-units. More than 200 sets of large units. The success of the largest engineering contracting project for the domestic 270,000-ton/year nitric acid plant of Jinkai Group has laid the foundation for Shaanxi-Dongguan centrifugal compressors to quickly occupy the domestic market.
At present, Shaanxi Drum has produced more than 1,000 sets of centrifugal compressors, more than 20 sets of nitric Oxide compressors for nitric acid plants, and has become the only company in China capable of independently designing and manufacturing 3-in-1 and 4-in-1 units.
In the design and manufacture of high-pressure, special-media centrifugal compressors, Shaanxi Drum has gradually shifted from co-manufacturing to independent design and manufacturing. Among them, the complete domestically produced raw gas (natural gas) compressors designed and manufactured for the methanol plant, and the fully domestically produced rich gas compressors designed and manufactured for the refinery have already been put into operation by many users. Recently, Shaanxi Drum successfully won the bid for the first fully domestically produced 100,000-ton/year coking gas-to-methanol engineering syngas compressor unit, which marked a solid step in the localization of chemical centrifugal compressors.
