Self-grinding concept and construction characteristics of self-grinding machine

Grinding machine does not add grinding medium, but the impact and grinding of the ore itself to achieve the purpose of crushing ore, this grinding is called self-grinding (or no medium grinding).
According to different material delivery methods, the self-grinding machine is divided into dry grinding and wet grinding. It is called dry grinding by wind power and wet grinding by hydraulic means.
The construction of the wet self-grinding mill is shown in the figure below.

There is a ring lining on the end cover of the mine end. The venting end is equipped with a grid plate similar to the lattice ball mill to control the discharge. The cylinder is equipped with a lifting lining. The inner end of the hollow shaft in the discharge end is installed. . The cylinder screen has a retaining ring at the discharge end. After the slurry is sieved through the cylinder, the coarse-layered screen is returned from the self-return device of the retaining ring to the spiral inner sleeve and returned to the self-grinding machine for re-grinding. The sieved product is passed through the cylinder screen and hollow. The space formed by the journal inner sleeve is discharged.
The construction features of the self-grinding mill are:
1. The diameter is large, and the length of the cylinder is short (L/D) is generally between 0.3 and 0.35. The self-grinding machine achieves the purpose of crushing the ore by virtue of the mutual impact and grinding of the ore itself. As the proportion of ore gold is a relatively light media, its impact, grinding stripping effect is small, and therefore must be designed from the mill diameter larger. At present, the domestic self-grinding machine has a diameter of 6 to 7 meters, while foreign countries have 15.24 meters. The cylinder is so short as to prevent segregation of ore in the cylinder. The so-called segregation is that large ore is concentrated at one end and small ore is concentrated at the other end. The segregation phenomenon has a great influence on the self-grinding and significantly reduces the grinding effect. In addition, the short cylinder can promote the blending of large and small ores, and the large ore can fully exert its impact ability, thereby improving the grinding efficiency of the self-grinding machine.
2. The diameter of the hollow shaft at both ends of the cylinder is large, and the short diameter is large because the feed block is large. Generally, the inner diameter of the hollow shaft is about twice the maximum feed size, which is about 0.2 to 0.3 times the inner diameter of the mill. The short length is to facilitate the circulation of materials.
3. Lining structure The special cylinder is equipped with lifting lining around the inner body, which has a certain height and spacing. Its function is to raise the ore to a certain height, increase the impact force, and hit the large block to break it. The lining of the lining is convex, also known as the "T" lining.
The crest lining is mounted on the two end caps of the self-grinding machine and has a triangular cross section. Because the two peaks of the peak lining are opposite, the ore block will bounce back and forth after hitting it, thereby mixing the ore, making the segregation phenomenon difficult to occur, and achieving the purpose of improving the grinding effect. The crest lining has a locking effect on the ore in the lower part of the cylinder, which makes it compact and increases the lifting height of the ore. When the ore of the upper part of the cylinder leaves the cylinder, the pressure disappears and the ore is in tension. This kind of pressing one is easy to break the ore.
