For the monitoring project, if the transmission distance exceeds 100 meters, we can add a switch in the middle to relay, and use the Category 6 cable, then the transmission distance is extended by 100 meters, because the switch has the function of amplifying the signal, so that the network signal is strengthened. However, if the distance is 300 meters or 500 meters, adding multiple switches can solve the problem, but the signal may be unstable after the third-stage amplification of the switch. Therefore, the way to increase the switch is to add only two switches to solve the transmission problem within 300 meters.
Method 2, using a fiber optic transceiver
Long-distance network transmission, network signal attenuation is too large, if more than 300 meters distance, a pair of fiber transceivers can be added in the middle. Transmission by fiber is the ideal way, the signal is smooth and stable.
The optical transceivers also need to be paired. The transmitting port (TX) of one transceiver is connected to the receiving port (RX) of the transceiver at the other end, and the optical fiber transmission is used between the transceivers, and the camera terminal is connected to the transceiver through the switch. The network mode is also applicable to large-scale monitoring coverage, and its excellent performance is widely used.
Method three, bridge transmission
If wiring is difficult for many environments, wireless transmission can also be used in the middle, which is simple to install and low in construction cost. It should be noted that the wireless bridges should be visible and there should be no obstacles to block.
There are two ways to use a wireless bridge.
1, point-to-point connection
If multiple cameras are concentrated, you can connect the camera to the switch.
If the camera is scattered and far away, each camera can be equipped with a pair of bridges.
2, point to multipoint
If the angle at which the camera is distributed to the monitoring center is less than 60 degrees, point-to-multipoint transmission may be considered. The transmitter bridge and cost can be reduced.
The two ways of the bridge are used according to different scenarios, such as on the street, in schools, in factories, in office buildings, on construction sites, in parks, in residential quarters, on river banks, at port terminals, and even in forests. , Gobi Desert, etc. As long as there is a need to install a video surveillance system, you can use the wireless video surveillance system, which will use the bridge.
