On January 10, the team departed from Shanghai Jiading Anting Express Station and passed through six provinces and cities including Shanghai, Jiangsu, Shandong, Hebei, Tianjin and Beijing. According to reports, the Beijing-Shanghai Expressway has a total length of 1,262 kilometers. The State Grid Corporation has built 50 fast-charging stations along the line, with an average of one fast-filling station every 50 kilometers. Each fast-charging station plans to build four 120-kilowatt DC chargers and eight charging piles, which can charge eight electric vehicles at the same time and fill (80%) in 30 minutes. Two chargers and four charging piles will be built in advance to support all electric vehicles that meet Chinese standards.

After a rough calculation, after running the Beijing-Shanghai Expressway, the cost of electric vehicles is nearly half that of gasoline vehicles.
State Grid said that the price of charging service for expressway fast charging network, the implementation of local large industrial electricity prices, service fees are subject to the pricing policy issued by the local price management department. The large industrial electricity price is generally 0.65-0.8 yuan / kWh, even after charging the charging service fee, the charging cost of the electric vehicle will still be lower than the fuel oil cost, such as Jiangsu electricity price and charging service fee price total 1.6 yuan / kWh.
Take the whole process of Beijing-Shanghai Expressway as an example. According to the fuel truck, 10 liters of gasoline per 100 kilometers, the fuel consumption cost of 100 kilometers is 62.1 yuan, and the fuel consumption of the whole process is about 783.7 yuan. According to the electric vehicle's 20 kilowatt-hour electricity consumption of 100 kilometers, the electricity cost per 100 kilometers is 32 yuan (refer to Jiangsu standard 1.6 yuan / kWh, including electricity), the total electricity consumption cost is about 403.8 yuan.
In the future, the “four vertical and four horizontal†high-speed charging stations will be equipped with charging stations in the future.
According to the relevant person in charge of the State Grid, in 2014, a total of 133 fast charging stations and 532 fast-filling piles were built in Beijing, Shanghai, Beijing, Hong Kong and Macao (Beijing-Xianning) and Qingyin (Qingdao-Shijiazhuang), basically forming “two vertical onesâ€. State Grid said that the next step will be to build a company-level electric vehicle networking platform to create a new mode of Internet commercial operation for electric vehicles across industries and the entire industry chain, and promote a unified charging payment card.
In addition, due to the low popularity of electric vehicles, charging is relatively unfamiliar to most people, and the charging voltage is up to several hundred volts and the current is more than one hundred amps. For security reasons, fast charging services require professionals for the time being. At present, when the number of vehicles is small, the operating cost is relatively large, and in order to promote electric vehicles, it is impossible to convert all the costs into charges. Therefore, the operational pressure of charging services is relatively large, and further exploration of innovative operating models is needed.
