Russia is China’s third largest exporter of automobiles. In order to further develop this market, more than 30 domestically-made cars have recently completed more than 2,000 km of exhibitions in Russia.
More than 30 Chinese-branded cars toured by the exhibition consisted of trucks, large and medium-sized passenger vehicles, off-road vehicles, micro-cars and sedans. They passed through 7 major cities including St. Petersburg, Moscow, Nizhny Novgorod, and Kazan and lasted for 10 days. Cars made in China collectively carry out long-distance international tours, the first time in continental Europe.
Zhang Xiaoyu, vice president of the China Federation of Machinery Industry, said: “According to last year's total analysis, last year, the country exported a total of approximately 340,000 vehicles to the Russian market, which was approximately 30,000, accounting for one-tenth of our total exports.â€
It is understood that the annual growth of the Russian automobile market is around 2.5 million vehicles, and currently an average of 7 people have 1 vehicle. Huge market opportunities, including FAW, SAIC, Dongfeng, and more than 10 independent brand companies participated in the tour. Among them, SAIC's two Roewe cars are making their debut in overseas markets.
