In the border areas of Guangdong, Hainan, and Shanghai, the used and excavated second-hand excavators can almost compete with new ones, and dealers have dubbed these areas the "Bermuda Triangle" and the "Golden Triangle" of the new aircraft. Analysts estimate that, in 2008, domestic imports of used excavators were approximately 28,000 units, accounting for 30% of total sales.

Compared with before, this acceptance standard emphasizes the review of the state of imported excavator equipment. In terms of import management of second-hand excavators, as early as 2005, relevant departments had already formulated the “Imported Acceptance Specification for Used Excavators”, which stipulated regulations on the emissions, noise, and the three-packet term of imported second-hand excavators, and improved the use of excavators. Import threshold. However, from the management notice issued by the Ministry of Commerce in 2006, these regulations did not emphasize the review of the performance of used excavators.

It is undeniable that the implementation of the second-hand excavator acceptance specification will help new domestic machine manufacturers expand market sales, but not all used excavators do not meet the acceptance criteria. From the author's understanding of research institutes and producers, they believe that the "30% substitution ratio" is a more objective assessment.

Then, if we use the 28,000 used excavator imports in 2010 as the basis for the calculation, the 30% substitutability rate means that the total domestic machine manufacturers in 2009 could increase the market capacity of 8,654 units. Based on the market share of 3.64%, 3.27% and 4.13% of excavators in Sanhe Intelligent, Liugong and Sany Heavy Machinery in 2008, it is expected that this year will bring 315, 283 and 357 sales to the above-mentioned companies.
