Starting from the first ZL40 4-ton loader in 1975, Xuzhou Loader Factory has developed a multi-functional, multi-tool, and various models of 4-ton loaders.

"Two ends out, big in and big out" was a very popular concept in China in the 1980s. For the construction machinery industry, there is a big gap with foreign products. Take the loader as an example, the domestic loader manufacturing technology still stays in the small tonnage field. As for the pearl of "large tonnage", the entire industry can't match it. Its own large-tonnage loader products have become an urgent task before Chinese engineering robots.

One day in May 1985, when the wind was beautiful, Su Zhixing of Xuzhou Loader Factory stepped into the Capital Airport. As the deputy head of the inspection tour to Japan, he knew that the significance of this time was extraordinary.

At the beginning of the year, under the pressure of the overall situation of the industry, Xuzhou Loader Factory began to seek foreign manufacturers for technical exchanges. A delegation consisting of the State General Administration of Materials, Tianjin Factory Machinery Research Institute and Xuzhou Loader Factory decided that a five-member delegation headed by Xu Zhixing of Xuzhuang Factory would visit Japan.

In Japan, the delegation considered that Kawasaki Heavy Industries' 3.5m 85Z loader is suitable for the company's situation. After returning to China, after more than a month of business negotiations, the factory and the State General Administration of Materials adopted a combination of technology and trade, and introduced the KLD85Z loader with international advanced level in the 1980s.

The successful introduction of this product has a qualitative leap in technology for Xuzhou Loader Factory, becoming the only company in the industry in the country to introduce large tonnage loaders at that time. The products are sold to Gezhouba, Daqing Oilfield, large mines and important terminals. The popularity of enterprises has increased significantly.

In 1985, the output of loaders began to increase, coupled with the successful introduction of KLD85Z products, the production capacity was far from meeting the requirements of enterprise development. As a result, Xuzhou Loader Factory organized personnel to prepare the "Seventh Five-Year" technical transformation plan. The technical transformation is mainly around loader products. Through technological transformation, the factory's technical equipment level, product production capacity and product quality level have been greatly improved, which has effectively promoted the digestion and absorption of imported product technologies. The KLD85Z loader's localization rate reached 82.5% in 1989, and it has formed a mass production capacity.

In 1988, the ZL50D loader of Xuzhou Loader Factory was successfully developed and became the largest tonnage loader independently developed by China at that time.

Xugong's ambition to overcome large tonnage technology also ignited at that time. In 1991, two XCMG ZL60 loader prototypes were rolled off the production line and passed the provincial appraisal the next year, which put them into mass production and successfully completed the absorption and transformation of the imported technology.

Blossoming alone is not spring. In 1997, XCMG started the development of KLD85ZIII and KLD95ZII loaders on the basis of ZL60. It took only two months to successfully pass the provincial appraisal.

This success not only completely ended the history of China's inability to manufacture large tonnage loaders, but also occupied the market opportunity. Since then, XCMG China's leading position in large tonnage loaders has been established.

"Three highs and one big"

In the 21st century, XCMG has a long-term vision and puts forward the "three high and one big" product strategy of adhering to high-tech content, high added value, high reliability, and large tonnage, and lists it as the "Chairman's No. 1 Project". The innovative development path has enabled XCMG to enter a new round of "golden development period" and to move out of the important driving engine of the global financial crisis.

In 2009, XCMG took an important step into the "three highs and one big", made the concept of researching and manufacturing the largest domestic tonnage loader, aimed at the 12-ton class, and vowed to break the monopoly of foreign large-tonn loaders.

Since the beginning of research and development in March, all the drawings have been released in September, but there is no precedent for the manufacture of large-tonnage loaders with more than 10 tons in China, and there is no structural component that can be matched with it, so XCMG decided: "Make it!"

In April 2010, XCMG's 12-ton LW1200K trial production was completed, becoming the largest tonnage loader in China at that time, and the dream came into reality.

XCMG has helped China break free from the pain of the large-tonnage loaders with a capacity of more than 10 tons and become a country with the ability to manufacture loaders with a capacity of more than 10 tons after the United States, Japan and Europe. XCMG has also become the most technologically advanced and most complete enterprise in the domestic loader industry, and industry leaders have finally achieved positive results.

     

Today's XCMG is striding towards a green and sustainable development.

In 2010, the world's first LW500K-LNG loader using LNG as fuel was born at XCMG. In only two years, XCMG successfully applied LNG loader technology to large-tonnage products, and LW600K-LNG and LW800K-LNG loaders have come out one after another.
