The “Research and Development and Applied Research on New Type WB36CN1 Steel Electrode for Nuclear Power Plants†developed by the Suzhou Thermal Engineering Research Institute and Shanghai Electric Power Repairing General Works Co., Ltd. was approved by the relevant domestic appraisal committee on April 9.
This project has developed a domestically produced WB36CN1 steel-matched J607CrNiMo electrode for nuclear power plants, which fulfills the technical requirements for Cr control, is conducive to improving the ability of welded joints to resist fluid accelerated corrosion (FAC), and can be well matched to the base material WB36CN1 steel, and according to DL/T 1117 -2009 “Procedures for Welding Procedure Evaluation of Conventional Island Nuclear Power Plants†and DL/T 1118-2009 “Technical Specification for Conventional Island Welding of Nuclear Power Plants†were evaluated for welding procedure. The welding rod developed satisfies the welding requirements for WB36CN1 steel.
The appraisal committee believes that this achievement is the first in the country, and the technical performance indicators are equivalent to those of foreign similar electrode products. It can replace imported products used for the welding of WB36CN1 steel for nuclear power, agreed to pass the identification of scientific and technological achievements, and proposes to develop the electrode developed by this project as soon as possible Put into mass production, promotion and application.
