Recall of 2.694 million vehicles in the first three quarters of this year

From January to September 2013, China implemented 97 recalls of automotive products, involving 2.694 million vehicles, an increase of 43 (79.6% year-on-year) and 1.34 million (99.0% year-on-year) increase from the same period last year. Among them, 1.146 million vehicles were recalled by the inspection of defects in the General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine, which accounted for 42.5% of all recalls.

In all recall activities, the domestic joint venture brand car was recalled 24 times, involving 19.24 million vehicles, accounting for 72.1% of the total recall; domestic self-owned brand cars recalled 23 times, involving 349,000 vehicles, accounting for 13.0% of the total recall; imported brands The recall of vehicles was 50 times, involving 403,000 vehicles, accounting for 14.9% of the total number of recalls.

According to the statistics of recalls concerning automobile assembly, the number of recalls due to brake/wheel problems was the largest. A total of 687,000 vehicles were recalled for 24 times, which accounted for approximately 25% of the total number of auto products recalled this year; and the number of engine defects recalled was 16 and totaled 620,000. About 23% of the total number of recalls came in second, followed by the steering/suspension issue, and a total of 592,000 vehicles were recalled for 14 times, which accounted for about 22%; other causes were defects in the powertrain system (14 times). , 42.0 million, 16%), electronic and electrical defects (22, 239,000, 9%), part of the body defects (7 times, 135,000, 5%).

At the same time, AQSIQ further strengthened the collection and analysis of defect information. In the first three quarters of 2013, the General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine received a total of 13,313 complaints concerning defects in automotive products, an increase of 5,523 cases or 70.9% over the same period in 2012 (7790 cases). For all the defect complaint information, organize relevant units to conduct technical analysis one by one, and carry out defect investigation in a timely manner in light of the high degree of risk and security involved in the complaint information.
