Quality requirements for industrial processing of phosphate rock

There are three kinds of phosphorus ore processing methods, i.e. mechanical, acid and thermal processing methods. At home and abroad, the acid processing is the main method.
Machining
The phosphate rock is ground into phosphate rock powder and used directly as an acidic soil fertilizer. The grinding degree of the ore powder generally requires more than 90% of 100 mesh, and the ore is required to contain 10% to 20% of P 2 O 5 , and there are no special requirements for other impurities.
2. Acid processing
Phosphate rock powder is decomposed with various inorganic acids, and the obtained products are mainly various water-soluble phosphate fertilizers and phosphates. The main products are: superphosphate, extracted phosphoric acid, heavy superphosphate, ammonium phosphate, nitrophosphate and so on. In addition to superphosphate, it is a high concentration of phosphate fertilizer or compound fertilizer.
The manufacture of these phosphate fertilizers requires phosphate rock P 2 O 5 ≥ 28%, and the impurity content and particle size should meet the requirements of Table 1.

3. Thermal processing
With phosphate rock and silica, magnesium-containing rock formulated appropriate proportions, in a blast furnace or an electric furnace at high temperature melting, quenched with water and the like made of FCMP.
The ore used for calcium magnesium phosphate should meet the requirements of Table 2.

In addition, the chemical industry is most important in extracting phosphoric acid from phosphate rock. One of the methods is electrothermal production of elemental phosphorus. The requirements for phosphate rock in such applications are shown in Table 3.
