The general logistics automatic Sorting System workflow is mainly divided into confluence → sorting signal input → sorting and diversion → sorting.
1. Confluence: The materials picked from different positions according to the picking instruction are sent to the pre-processing equipment in a certain way, and collected by the pre-processing equipment to the main conveyor line. This process is called confluence.
2. Sorting: The signal input reaches the material on the main conveyor line, and the basic information of the material is read through an automatic identification device (such as a barcode scanner, etc.), and the computer handles the read material information accordingly. This process is called Input for sorting signal.
3. Diversion: After the material information is read into the computer system, it continues to move on the main conveying line. The storage rack sorting system detects the moving position of the material in real time. When the material reaches the corresponding sorting crossing, the control system sends a sorting mechanism to the sorting mechanism. After picking up the order, the sorting mechanism immediately produces corresponding actions to make the material enter the corresponding sorting gate, this process is called diversion.
4. Sorting: The materials entering the sorting crossing finally reach the terminal of the sorting system, and are sorted and transported to the corresponding area by manual or mechanical handling tools.
The essence of retail in the future will remain cost, efficiency and experience at the center. The sorting capacity of some sorting centers can reach 9,000 pieces per hour. Under the premise of the same site size and sorting volume, it is estimated that each site can save 180 manpower.
